Edmonton is heating up this June with several acts that channel the fun of the 80s and 90s! Put on your acid-washed jeans, over-sized linen suit or parachute pants and get out and ENJOY!

Remember the incredible soundtracks of the 90s? When champions of R&B provided the smooth sounds that made you BELIEVE these characters were falling in love on the screen? When the folder of CDs you kept under the passenger seat of the car was filled with songs from, and inspired by your favourite movies?

Well so do the Edmonton Kinsmen because they have put together a one-of-a-kind, one-day music festival featuring the best of this era. Headlined by none other than BOYZ II MEN and also featuring Maestro Fresh Wes, Shaggy, Ludacris, Ashanti and more this is your chance to lay out a blanket in the park and listen to the sweet sounds of cinematic romance.

Even better this is an all-ages event (with a gated beer tent) so you can bring your kids and introduce them to the music of your youth!

Let’s face it; hair metal was always ridiculous. But it was the kind of ridiculous that was always tons of fun.  Steel Panther recognizes that and leans into it. As a band, they have all the chops and stage presence of Van Halen, Def Leppard or Winger, but refuse to take themselves seriously. If you’ve ever jumped to “Jump” or yelled along to “Panama,” then Steel Panther are going to rock your world with hits like “The Shocker,” “Death to All But Metal,” and “Community Property”  when they play at Union Hall on June 23!

Edmonton is one of Canada’s best-kept secrets, the party city that nobody knows is about as much fun as you can have. Get in on the secret and book a stay at the Days Inn Edmonton South. We’re close to all the action of the city and our friendly staff will be happy to recommend their favourite local spots so you can have a memorable trip!
