Enjoy the open air in Edmonton
- July 30, 2020
Chances are, 2020 has felt like it’s taken forever so far – but we promise that if you don’t take the opportunity to enjoy the best of summer, you’re going to blink and miss it.
That’s why we think you should come to Edmonton this August to enjoy the best the city and all of its outdoor environs have to offer. Want to go shopping? West Edmonton Mall is vast, spacious, and has EXACTLY the item you’re looking for. Want to take in a show? Edmonton's clubs have opened in a limited capacity with social distancing, so you can take in a concert, enjoy a stacked comedy lineup, or experience local theatre.
And, if you want to just enjoy being out and about in the open air, here are some great events to experience!
Edmonton’s annual corn maze is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever! Its design reminds us that we are “STRONGER TOGETHER” when viewed from above, using its walls to spell out this inspiring message! From inside, though, this maze is fiendishly clever in the best possible way! It takes about a half-hour if you’re in a rush, but if you’re content to be pleasantly lost it will take you an hour to find your way out of this year’s maze!
Combine this experience with food vendors, socially distanced fun and games and more, it’s a memorable way to get out into the fresh air and enjoy a family experience!
Food trucks have been the hottest craze for years now, offering affordable treats in incredible varieties at the most convenient locations! That’s great, because could there be a more perfect way to experience fresh food in 2020? Every Friday in Sherwood Park, the city’s best are lining up to vie for your attention and dinner dollar, offering tacos, Korean fried chicken, Jamaican beef patties, dim sum and oh so much more! Every Friday is an international festival of flavours enjoyed in the open air!
If you need a break from the every day, book a room at the Days Inn Edmonton South. We offer unparalleled service, comfort and cleanliness so you can have ease of mind during your Alberta vacay!
